Global Warming a Good Thing?
According to some scientists (possibly those who fed us the fear of a new ice age back in the ’70’s) we are in an ice age “pause.”
An ice age can have a “pause” lasting thousands of years. They theorize that human activity has created greenhouse gases such as CO2 in quantities high enough to cause the entire planet to warm thus extending the “pause.”
Quick to blame those bad humans, they ignore the impact of reindeer flatulance (not to mention the elk and the moose–have you ever been in one of those lodges? P-yew! What do they serve at those dinners?)
Now, as a mammal you have to admit this might not be such a bad thing–not the flatulance, the warming. If we are living in an ice age “pause” and our activity (also known as the 2% factor) has caused further warming thereby extending that “pause,” deep down in your DNA you have to think this is a good thing.
Personally, I’m all for “pause extension.” Given the alternative, I think most people would be– with the possible exception of Green Bay Packer fans. Viva la Pause!
Really, shouldn’t the government be telling us to drive more? As good citizens of the world we should all do our part to exhale more. At last, heavy breathing is good for the planet! Think of the possibilities for implementation! Unless you like ice fishing, CO2 is your friend. Just ask a tree.
