In Detroit Monday (6/16)— Al “I knows science when I sees it” Gore embraced Barack Obama for the presidential race. Rumors of a fondle and a nuzzle were quickly dismissed. And, though there may have been a quick peck on the cheek, tongues were not in evidence. Okay, maybe just a little pinch on the tush before dancing across the stage after a rather uncomfortable moment of indecision over who should lead.
Yes, we’re starving for energy. From the ”Hate to say I told you so” file comes this tasty tid-bit from Discovery News for the Biofuel Biofools:
April 29, 2008 — A “biofuels frenzy” and other misguided policies have led to the global food crisis in which rice consumption is outpacing production, threatening a billion people with malnutrition, experts said Tuesday.
Despite the success of his film An Inconvenient Truth and last year’s Live Earth concerts in raising awareness (and loads of cash), the former US Vice President believes little has changed where it counts and the situation is even more urgent (No doubt he is having trouble affording more fuel for his private jet).

There’s a Press release out yesterday about another summit to “Focus on Structuring Carbon Credit Investments and Emissions Trading Strategies”. Can you believe that?
This is a summit for people to gather and discuss “investments” in this scam all over the world! It’s the Carbon Credit Huckster Summit! Even more amazing, it’s the SECOND one, so you know people made money on the first one!
Czech President Vaclav Klaus slammed the EU’s sweeping new measures to fight climate change as a “tragic mistake” in an interview with a German newspaper on Thursday.
“I believe that our government and others will stand up against these bureaucratic ideas,” Klaus told the Handelsblatt business daily.
Recently I’ve noticed a new trend in the reporting of all things climatic. Seems the use of the term “global warming” has now been replaced by “global climate change” or simply “climate change.”
Are we in another instance of “it depends on what the definition of is is?”
